MICROBLADING IS TAKING THE BEAUTY WORLD BY A STORM. AND WE BELIEVE IT’S A TREND THAT IS HERE TO STAY. SAMAR IS OF COURSE AN EYEBROW ENTHUSIAST, AND WHEN SHE STUMBLED UPON MICROBLADING IT WAS AN “AHA!” MOMENT.

We have seen many of our clients come in with over-tweezed eyebrows, or eyebrows that have been waxed over and over. Other clients are simply just not blessed with a thick eyebrow. They have tried everything, pencil, powder, pigment, gel, stencil, and traditional tattoos, but the results is just never satisfying.

Microblading before and after by Love Threading Bar – Cleveland

So what is microblading anyway?

Simply put microblading is a form of tattooing, but unlike a regular tattoo, the color pigment is implanted under the skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine. We mimic natural hairs in your brows by drawing hair-like strokes with the tool. Microblading is still a tattoo because pigment is implanted under the skin, just not as deep as a regular tattoo.

How long does the procedure take?

It usually take 2 hours from start to finish to get the beautiful eyebrows you always wanted. It’s a slow process to get your eyebrows exactly how you like them.

Blading you say? That sounds painful!

Pain is relative, some feel more pain than others. However, it generally feels like little scratches. You feel it, but it’s not unbearable. We make sure we use enough topical numbing cream and tops up throughout the process to reduce the discomfort as much as possible.

How to get ready for my microblading session?

If you take aspirin, or use retinol, stop one week before your treatment. The reason to avoid Retinol is that it makes your skin thin and then you end up bleeding a little more. You also should avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your microblading session.

What about aftercare?

You need to protect your freshly bladed brows from all moisture–do not wash your face with water or have sweaty workout for a week after the procedure. It’s normal to experience some itching and redness during the first week, use Vaseline to alleviate the itching and redness. Your brows will look a bit darker at first, but the color will fade by 30 to 40 percent. When you walk out your eyebrows will look amazing right away, you will not need to hide or anything like that.

Why I might need a touch up?

Skin healing is different from one person to another. As your skin heal the color pigments will slightly move a bit altering the shape slightly. Some time clients find it beneficial to do a touch up to get the perfect shape back. It’s best to do your schedule your touch up 4 to 6 weeks after your initial microblading session.

How long does it last?

It all depend on your skin type, but for most of our clients the result will last for up to one year and maybe longer.

How much does microblading cost?

Microblading is $350 special, and a follow up touchup is $150 (if needed). Consultation is always free. Please give us a call to schedule your free consultation 216-586-4543. It’ possible to do the consultation and the microblading on the same day.
