We've been transforming brows in the greater Cleveland area for years, and the number one thing we hear from clients after their first appointment is: "I wish I'd done this sooner." Over-tweezed brows, sparse patches, asymmetry — we've seen it all, and we know how much the right brows can change the way you feel walking out the door.

Today we're breaking down every question we get asked, so you can come in feeling informed and confident.

What services do you offer for brows?

We've expanded well beyond traditional microblading. Here's a quick overview of our current brow menu:

Microblading ($350) — A manual technique that implants pigment under the skin in individual hair-like strokes, creating a natural, full look. Ideal for most skin types. Touch-ups from $150.

Nano Brows ($550) — Uses ultra-fine nano needles to mimic the exact diameter and dimension of a real hair. More precise than traditional microblading and a great option for clients with oilier skin.

Powder Brows ($500) — A machine technique that creates a soft, powdered makeup effect — more defined and filled-in, yet still completely natural-looking.

Combo Brows ($550) — The best of both worlds: microblading at the front of the brow for natural hair strokes, combined with microshading toward the tail for depth and definition. Perfect for clients who want a fuller, more polished result.

What is microblading, exactly?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique where pigment is implanted just below the skin's surface using a fine manual tool. Unlike a traditional tattoo that goes deep into the dermis, microblading sits in the upper layers of the skin — which is why it fades naturally over time rather than lasting forever.

The result looks like real brow hair, not a drawn-on line. That's what makes it so popular: done well, nobody can tell.

How long does the appointment take?

Plan for about 2 hours for your initial appointment. That includes the consultation, brow mapping, numbing, and the procedure itself. We don't rush — getting the shape exactly right before we start is the most important part.

Is it painful?

Most clients describe it as light scratching — you feel it, but it's very manageable. We apply a topical numbing cream before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable throughout.

How should I prepare?

Stop using retinol and avoid taking aspirin at least one week before your appointment — both can thin the skin and increase bleeding. Skip alcohol for 24 hours beforehand. Come in with your natural brows (no makeup on the brow area) so we can assess your starting point accurately.

What does aftercare look like?

For the first week, keep your brows dry — no washing the brow area directly, no sweaty workouts, no swimming. Some redness, light flaking, and itching is completely normal as the skin heals. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline if things get itchy. Your brows will initially look darker and more intense, then fade 30–40% as they heal. The final color settles in around 4–6 weeks.

Will I need a touch-up?

Most clients benefit from a touch-up 4–8 weeks after their initial session. Everyone's skin heals a little differently, and the touch-up is your chance to refine the shape, fill in any areas that faded unevenly, and lock in the result. We offer 4–8 week touch-ups for $150 (microblading) or $250 (powder/combo brows).

How long do results last?

Typically 12–18 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Oilier skin tends to fade faster — which is one reason Nano Brows or Powder Brows can be a better fit for some clients. A 6-month touch-up ($250) is a great way to keep your results looking fresh year-round.

Who is behind Love Threading Bar?

Love Threading Bar was founded by Samar, a licensed esthetician with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. Her artistic background isn't incidental — it's the foundation of everything she does. The same principles of proportion, symmetry, and line she studied in fine arts school are what she brings to every brow she shapes.

After completing her esthetician training at the Aveda Institute and earning her license in 2015, Samar traveled to Los Angeles for intensive microblading training with PhiBrows, one of the world's leading brow academies.
